Anna, RVT

I was lucky to grow up with animal lovers as parents, so my life has always been full of all sorts of animal companions - from big to small and scaled to furry! I started horseback riding at 7 and have had gerbils, rats, frogs/toads, salamanders, dogs, cats, and a chinchilla over the years. I have a particular love for Labrador Retrievers, sassy cats, and horses!

After working through high school at my Hunter/Jumper barn and a few years afterwards in a dog grooming salon, I knew I wanted my career to reflect my passion for animals. I worked as a dog groomer for 10 years before getting accepted into the Veterinary Technology program at TRU and making the move from the Lower Mainland to Kamloops. Having just graduated in June 2023, I'm so excited to be starting my life as an RVT with Kamloops Veterinary Clinic, I'm so lucky to work with the best people and get to help so many animals!

At home, my partner and I have a young tabby cat named Fig, who I adopted from the program at TRU and is the queen of our household. Outside of work I love to read, garden, take Fig out for walks on her leash, cook, go camping, horseback ride when I can and go on adventures with my family Labrador, Lily.
